Colombia – Getaway

Colombia is a country at the northern tip of South America. It’s landscape is marked by rainforests, Andes mountains and numerous coffee plantations. In the high-altitude capital, Bogotá, the Zona Rosa district is known for its restaurants and shops. Cartagena, on the Caribbean coast, has a walled colonial Old Town, a 16th-century castle and nearby coral reefs.

DAY 1
Welcome by our guide at Bogota Airport and you will take the direction of the center historical of Bogota where your hotel will be. (Car transportation – 40min – 14.8km). After checking-in at the hotel, enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of the Emerald Spa where you will have 60 to 90 minutes of spa treatments.
You can choose in the menu which massage you prefer, from a relaxing massage with hot stones to a 4-hand massage.

DAY 2
This morning you will have breakfast at the hotel in Bogota. At 11:30am the driver will take you to your first destination (boutique hotel inside a specialty coffee farm). Once you reach your destination, accommodation in your private cabin. (Car transportation – 1.5 hrs.) Your coffee tour to explore nature and learn about specialty coffee producing around the farm will start after followed by horseback riding.

DAY 3
Wake up among the exuberant nature and its natural sounds inside this specialty farm, and commence the day with a yoga session to connect with this magical place. After, you have the opportunity to enjoy the sunrise while having an aromatic cup of your preferred coffee freshly ground and brewed and organic breakfast with the local and homegrown seasonal fruits and vegetables.

DAY 4
This morning, organic breakfast at the club house while enjoying the sunrise and of course freshly brewed coffee!
Our driver will pick you up and take you to catch your flight to Cartagena “The colonial walled city”
Arrival in Cartagena and transfer to your hotel located in the historical center. Check-in at your hotel and lunch close to it.

Cooking class: you will have some free time to walk around until mid- afternoon to go to your cooking class. After being greeted with a welcome cocktail, the course will consist of several episodes:
Initially, the guests will have a conversation with the leader who will explain in detail the menu you will prepare: starter, main course and dessert, and the various techniques to be used. Then comes the tasting.

DAY 5
This morning, walking tour of the historic center: walk in the colonial neighborhood of San Diego and Santo Domingo passing through the Plaza de los Coches, Plaza de la Aduana, Bolivar Park, the Gold Museum, the Inquisition Palace, Plaza de Santa Teresa, the famous Wall and las Bovedas.

Lunch in the historical center.
In the afternoon, you will relax at the Santa Clara Spa. You will have 90 minutes of spa treatments, you can choose in the menu which massage you prefer.
From the reflexology, to aroma massage, or Hot and Cold Stones massage, there are plenty of options. Including 90 min spa treatment
Enjoy the Sunset view from the San Felipe Castle.

DAY 6
Pick up at your hotel and transfer to Tayrona Park. (Car transportation 4 hrs 15 min)

Arrival at your hotel located in the heart of the park. You will have the rest of the day to relax and enjoy the magical landscapes.

DAY 7
This hike in the Tayrona Park will take you to a magical place located between mountains, tropical forest and the sea. You will discover the most beautiful white sand beaches of the country and ancestral volcanic rocks in the crystal clear Caribbean Sea. Today, you will discover the jungle and the beaches of Tayrona Park.
You start with a hike in the tropical jungle from Cañaveral. Then you visit the exotic beaches of Arrecifes and stop at La Piscina, ideal for swimming and snorkeling. Continue to the Cabo San Juan del Guia, wonderful bay of white sand surrounded by huge volcanic rocks. On the way, observe the local fauna and flora of this magnificent park with your guide. Free time to lunch in the Tayrona Park and to enjoy the beaches. Afterwards we will go back to the park’s entrance passing through the park’s beautiful paths, where a vehicle is waiting for you to take you back to the hotel.

DAY 8
After breakfast, private transfer from Tayrona Park to Santa Marta Airport to catch your flight to Bogota and then to Dubai.
